As the daughter of Salvadoran immigrants, Cristina has always been aware of the struggles and obstacles Latina immigrant women face in our community. Thus, Cristina strongly believes it’s important for Latina immigrant women to know their rights. Her legal experience is composed of working with sexual assault and domestic violence survivors seeking U Visa or VAWA relief. In 2015, Cristina graduated with a JD from Maurice A. Dean School of Law at Hofstra University. In 2010, she earned her BA in Criminal Justice and Psychology with a minor in Women’s Studies from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Cristina also enjoys exploring new cultures, traveling, and is a native Spanish speaker.
