Health Equity Summit: Rising Together: Creating a culture of health without limits

January 22

This conference is a structured, multi-session educational program designed to address pressing issues in community health, health equity, and systems-level change. Through workshops and panel discussions, the program examines the health impacts of immigration enforcement, gender-based violence, culturally responsive care, and evolving federal policy related to Social Determinants of Health (SDoH).

Session topics emphasize evidence-based practices, trauma-informed approaches, culturally responsive care models, and policy analysis relevant to healthcare providers, social workers, advocates, and community-based professionals. Participants will engage with expert speakers to explore how enforcement practices, systemic bias, and policy rollbacks influence individual, family, and community health outcomes, particularly among immigrant, low-income, and marginalized populations.

The program is designed to strengthen professional competencies in assessing health risks, supporting vulnerable populations, applying advocacy and community-led strategies, and translating lived community knowledge into equitable health systems. Educational content supports continued professional development by enhancing participants’ understanding of public health challenges, interdisciplinary collaboration, and practical interventions that promote health equity and improved outcomes across diverse communities.
