We’re proud to spotlight Michelle Katzow, MD, MS, pediatrician, researcher, and leader in advancing early childhood health and obesity prevention. Dr. Katzow serves as Medical Director of the POWER Kids Weight Management Program at @cohen_childrens | @northwellhealth and is a maternal-child health researcher at the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research. She is also the Principal Investigator of the NIH-funded “Starting Early to Prevent Obesity Using Telehealth (StEP OUT)” study, focused on improving early childhood outcomes through accessible, equity-driven care. With a strong foundation in clinical practice and research, Dr. Katzow’s work centers on preventing childhood obesity within a health equity framework, ensuring that families have access to the tools and support needed from the very beginning. We’re proud to spotlight Bernice Baronville Jaboin, Registered Nurse and Supervisor of the Perinatal and Infant Community Health Collaborative (PICHC) at @harmony_hcli With over 10 years of experience in nursing, Bernice has dedicated her career to community health, serving in roles ranging from nurse outreach and care coordination to education, Med-Surg, and rehabilitation. Her work is grounded in a deep commitment to preventive care and improving health outcomes for diverse communities. At Harmony Healthcare Long Island, Bernice leads efforts under a New York State Department of Health initiative focused on improving maternal health and reducing adverse birth outcomes across Nassau County. She is especially passionate about advancing equitable access to quality prenatal and postpartum care, as well as expanding mental health screening and support for mothers experiencing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.
